The Model United Nations of Aarhus Tilst and Ikast-Brande is the merging of the conferences previously hosted by the MUN societies of Aarhus Gymnasium Tilst and Ikast-Brande Gymnasium into the biggest high school conference in Western Denmark. In 2017, Aarhus Gymnasium Tilst and Ikast-Brande each opened its doors to almost 100 delegates and is keen on expanding the 2nd annual MUN conference of Aarhus Tilst and Ikast-Brande in 2019. The conference is being hosted at Ikast-Brande Gymnasium, situated in the Ikast city center. The school is known as the most diverse high school in Ikast and is eager to host delegates from Denmark and beyond.
Over the course of 4 days, we will explore 2 committees under the United Nations General Assembly (GA) and 2 committees under The Economics and Social Council (ECOSOC). With a previous combined 5 conferences, The Model United Nations of Aarhus Tilst and Ikast-Brande are enthusiastic to share knowledge and to provide participating delegates with the best MUN experience possible.
This year, we are honoured to have 2 guest speakers at the conference. One of them is Maiken Tillgaard, from DGSB (den grønne studenterbevægelse) from Aarhus. The second guest speaker is Elisabeth Arnsdorf Haslund. Elisabeth Arnsdorf Haslund is the Senior Communication/PI Associate & Spokesperson for Denmark and the UNHCR Regional Representative for Northern Europe.
We hope to see you all at the 2019 conference!
